NEW IMAGES FOR 2020
New Washington State Photos for 2020
In 2019, Peter James made a point to visit mostly areas of Washington State he hadn't explored before. Living in Bellingham, WA at the far Northwest corner of the state, his collection was biased toward Northwest Washington, the Mount Baker area and Olympic Peninsula photos. So when shooting for his collection that would be released in 2020, he went to the far Southeast and Northeast corners of the state. He also did a long trip along the entire southern border of the state following the Columbia River Gorge, and he did three photo trips into the South Cascade Mountains to shoot Mt St Helens, Mount Adams, the Goat Rocks Wilderness, and Mount Rainier photos. As is often the case with nature photography, especially the first time in a new area, many of his trips did not yield any photos on the level needed to be included in his collection. Yet, despite challenging weather, inaccurate maps and trail guides, and even having his truck catch on fire - twice, Peter walked away from 2019 with the 34 new Washington State art photos that you see above.
