Washington Wildlife Photographs
Orcas, foxes, and owls, oh my! Washington certainly has it's share of wildlife. But Peter James isn't your typical wildlife photographer. He doesn't spend weeks on end in a shooting blind targeting a particular species. He has a family to get home to and a gallery to run, so the wildlife photos he captures are most often of amazing animals he sees when out shooting nature landscape photos. Consequently, his wildlife photos are more works of art than documentary style, which gives them a unique appeal to art lovers and animal lovers alike. The orca whale photos and humpback whales photos are the exceptional cases where Peter specifically pursued the opportunity to photograph the whales, all the while respecting the marine mammal protection act which prohibits approaching orca whales within 200 yards.
