The Olympic Peninsula is in the northwestern most corner of the United States, sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the Puget Sound, so it’s not surprising that it can be a pretty moist place, and it’s also not surprising that it’s a magnet for forest photography artists like me. The Peninsula’s high mountains and deep forest filled valleys attract and capture rainfall creating some of the most glorious locations for making fine art rainforest photography art in the world. 
 
I created this sunbeam forest art in the Sol Duc Valley which is just under the threshold of rainfall required to be an official rainforest but is very close. The day before this it had rained all day, so the humidity level was near 100% and the low October sun lit the mist perfectly making the conditions ideal for rainforest art. I spent the whole morning running through the woods, creating forest wall art until the light and the mist faded.
