The vast, mountainous Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the most spectacularly beautiful forests in the world, and it’s one of my very favorite places to create forest photography wall art. We took this short two-day trip there in mid-October and camped in the Sol Duc Valley of the Olympic National Park. The first day it rained all day which was disappointing for forest art, but we made the most of it by spending the day in the Sol Duc Hot Springs, so we had no real complaints. But the next morning we woke up to the most remarkable fine art forest photography conditions I could have hoped for. 
 
The sky was clear, and all the previous day’s rain created so much moisture in the air that glorious sunbeams spilled through the forest in every direction. I created this limited edition sunbeam forest photography art along the trail to the Sol Duc Falls, where the spray of the falls intensified the mist even more.
