From Galleries to Global

A New Chapter Is Beginning

For years, our Washington galleries have offered a place to step away from the noise of everyday life and stand before the beauty of the natural world. Now, Peter James is entering a new chapter. This is not an ending of the work. It is an expansion of it.

As Peter and his wife iMa prepare to begin a more mobile life, starting in Bali and continuing through Southeast Asia and North America, the heart of the mission remains unchanged: to live a life of exploration and adventure in the natural world, and to share artwork that helps people focus on beauty, wonder, peace, and joy.

The galleries have been a beautiful chapter. The next chapter gives the work more room to grow, the stories more room to unfold, and collectors more ways to stay connected wherever they are.

Newsletter and new releases

From Gallery Walls to a Wider World

While physical encounters are becoming more rare, the connection with Peter’s work is becoming more expansive.

As we transition away from daily gallery operations, the website, email list, and social media channels will become the primary places to experience the art, hear the stories behind the images, and follow Peter’s ongoing creative journey.

You will be able to follow:

  • Frequent new artwork releases

  • Stories from the field

  • Travels through Southeast Asia and North America

  • Beaches, jungles, marine ecosystems, and wild places

  • Scuba diving and underwater exploration

  • Collector installations and transformation stories

  • Online guidance for choosing the right piece and size

  • Digital mockups to help visualize artwork in your space

This is a different kind of connection, one that can continue wherever you are.

The Mission Remains the Same

The mission of Peter James Photography remains unchanged. To create enduring works of art that bring the wilderness home. To help people focus on what is beautiful, healing, and deeply good.

To transform homes, offices, clinics, and gathering places into sanctuaries of awe and calm. To plant trees with every artwork collected, restoring the living world that has given so much inspiration.

To serve collectors with care, guidance, and respect, whether the conversation begins in a gallery, by email, over video, through social media, or through a photo of your wall.

The way people encounter the work is evolving. The purpose behind it is not.

A Rare Opportunity to Experience the Work in Person

Before this transition is complete, there is still time to experience the galleries in person.

This final season is a rare opportunity to stand before the artwork at full scale, see the luminosity and depth of the metal prints, and choose a piece with personal guidance from Peter, iMa, and the gallery team.

For many collectors, seeing the work in person has been the moment everything became clear: the scale, the realism, the feeling of looking through a window into the wild.

If you have been meaning to visit, return, bring a friend, choose a piece, or finally decide which artwork belongs in your home or business, this is a meaningful time to do it.

Join Us for the Moving to Bali Event

As we prepare for this next chapter, we will be hosting a special Moving to Bali event to celebrate the journey, honor the galleries, and share what is ahead.

This event is not simply a farewell. It is an invitation to gather around the work, the mission, and the living connection that continues beyond the gallery walls.

Date & Time: TBD

The Journey Continues Daily

The galleries have allowed people to walk into Peter’s world. Now, that world will be shared more openly and more often through email and social media.

Following Peter online will mean seeing more than finished artwork. You will see the quiet moments before an image exists, the landscapes that call to him, the reflections behind the work, the stories of collectors living with the art, and the restoration impact made possible through every piece collected.
We would be honored to have you with us in this next chapter.
