2026 Fine Art Nature Photography Collection | Expanding Beyond Washington into Oregon and Idaho

The 2026 collection marks a clear expansion in my work.

For many years, my photography has been rooted in Washington State, shaped by the forests, coastlines, and mountain landscapes that I’ve returned to again and again.

But over the past year, that horizon widened.

This collection brings together new work from Oregon and Idaho, alongside a smaller number of images from Washington, reflecting a shift not just in geography, but in how I approach the landscape.

Columbia River Gorge: Scale and Movement

In early spring, I spent time photographing the Columbia River Gorge.

Wildflowers spread across the hillsides. Waterfalls carved through basalt cliffs. The scale of the landscape created constant movement in light and atmosphere.

This environment required a different kind of attention.

Light changed quickly. Weather moved fast. And the images came not from planning, but from responding in the moment.

One rainy day leant itself to visiting the famous tree in the Portland Japenese Garden. How could I resist?

Oregon Coast to Bend: Letting the Landscape Lead

Later in the year, I began a trip along the Oregon coast, starting at Cannon Beach and moving south.

But conditions shifted.

Storms rolled in, visibility dropped, and the coastline became obscured. Instead of forcing the experience, I moved inland toward Bend.

That transition changed everything.

The high desert introduced space, contrast, and clarity. The light became sharper, more directional. And the work took on a different character.

Mount Hood: Depth Through Familiar Terrain

In mid-summer, I spent several days photographing the Mount Hood region.

This landscape sits between familiarity and unpredictability.

Alpine terrain, volcanic features, and shifting weather patterns create conditions that reward patience and observation.

Here, the work became more refined, not because the landscape was easier, but because it required a deeper level of awareness. And Mt Hoods hidden waterfalls did not disappoint.

Idaho: Stillness and Perspective

The Idaho portion of the collection brought a different experience entirely.

In the northern panhandle, I photographed the lakes around Priest Lake, Lake Pend Oreille, and Coeur d’Alene.

Later in the year, I backpacked into the Sawtooth Mountains, reaching Alice Lake and surrounding alpine terrain.

These environments were quieter. More remote. Less defined by familiar viewpoints.

And in that quiet, something shifts.

Without expectation, attention deepens. And the work becomes less about capturing something recognizable, and more about experiencing something real.

What This Collection Represents

This collection is not simply about new locations.

It represents a broader way of seeing.

As the geography expanded, so did the experience of being in the landscape.

Less about control.

More about presence.

Less about capturing.

More about receiving.

Why This Work Matters in Your Space

Most of us spend our lives in environments that are far removed from the natural world.

Indoor spaces. Constant input. Little stillness.

Over time, that creates a quiet absence.

A lack of calm.

A lack of clarity.

A lack of connection.

Large-scale nature photography changes that.

It brings the experience of wilderness into daily life.

It creates moments of stillness.

It allows a space to feel more grounded, more open, and more alive.

New Photographic Horizons

The 2026 collection reflects a widening horizon.

And it’s only the beginning of where the work is going next.

The shift from Washington’s dense forests into Oregon’s high desert and Idaho’s river canyons really comes through in this 2026 collection—it feels like a natural evolution of your eye for light. I’ve been following your work since the coastal series, and seeing that geographic widening paired with the same tonal restraint is compelling. I’ve been https://ai-for-animation.com

The shift from Washington’s dense, rain-soaked forests into Oregon’s high desert and Idaho’s rugged river canyons really comes through in this collection—it feels like a natural evolution of your eye for light. I’ve been meaning to explore that same terrain myself, so I’ve been using https://video-upscaler.org

I’ve been exploring similar terrain with my own gear lately, so I’m curious what you used to capture that Oregon coastline detail. Check out https://ai-3d-model-generator.com

The shift from Washington’s dense, moody forests into Oregon’s high desert and Idaho’s river canyons really comes through in that early spring work—it feels like you’re chasing light differently now. I’ve been following your transition closely, and this new geographic range is exactly the kind of evolution that keeps me coming back, so I’m curious https://hyros.pro
