Dot Island Silhouette
The essence of the San Juan Islands is captured in this Dot Island photograph with Dot or Chuckanut Island silhouetted behind glassy waters and in front of a dramatic sunset.
Fine Art Pacific Northwest Islands Photography
Nothing says Pacific Northwest photography like mountain and island photographs taken at water level from a kayak. On this beautiful summer day, we borrowed a tandem kayak from a friend so my wife could join me on this Pacific Northwest island photography mission. What he didn’t warn us was that the kayak, while seaworthy, was nearly 200 pounds, making the adventure of getting it on the truck more dangerous than actually doing the Dot Island photography on the open water. Whew!
This ‘Islands of the Pacific Northwest’ photography print made it 100% worth the effort. The crisp silhouette of Dot Island aka Chuckanut Island pictured with massive Lummi Island in the background, strike the line dividing Salish Sea from superb sky. There was only one small portion of the water where the surface was glassy, and my wife was good enough to continuously paddle to keep us in the right spot while I held my camera over the edge of the kayak to capture this magic Pacific Northwest photography moment from just above the water’s surface. Chuckanut Island photography tends to be distant views of Dot Island pictured from above, but this fine art Pacific Northwest photography print makes you feel like you are in the front row, a part of the scene.
Pacific Northwest Nautical Wall Art
While most nautical wall art has its charm, this Pacific Northwest photography of Dot Island is truly sensational. When printed large nautical wall art brings the shore to your door, and this Dot Island photography print puts you there at the most peak moment. If you love kayaking, trees, or islands, this is as Pacific Northwest as photography gets.
