It was a beautiful summer day and I had just returned from a hike along the Klahhane Ridge trail where I was enjoying the sweeping views of the Olympic Mountains and hoping to get a chance to do some wildlife photography. To my surprise I came across this majestic buck less than 100 yeads from the trailhead. I already had my wildlife lens on and ready to go, so it was just a matter of choosing my composition and waiting for the right moment to capture this classic PNW wildlife photograph.
