Tranquil Waters Of Lake Chelan

On this peaceful September day along Lake Chelan’s south shore, the surface shimmered with soft ripples that shifted from deep sapphire to luminous turquoise near the shore. Above, the sky was alive with texture as wispy cirrus floated high while a band of clouds nearer the mountains looked like a herd of white horses racing across the blue. In that living stillness, the lake seemed to breathe pure serenity.
