Under Icicle Creek's Icy Waters

Even in the heat of summer near Leavenworth, Icicle Creek stays chilly. I put on a wetsuit, sealed my camera in its underwater case, and plunged into the glacier-fed water. For nearly an hour I swam and crawled through the rushing current, holding my breath to look through my viewfinder the glow of rocks below and the peaks and trees above. This image captures that contrast, the warmth of summer and the icy rush of nature’s wild flow.
