This Pacific Northwest river photography print was captured on a mid-October Olympic Peninsula photography trip where surprisingly, very few trees had started to change color yet. I spent several days exploring the Olympic rainforests and river basins and was very excited to discover this glorious maple tree hanging out over the Sol Duc River in the Olympic National Park. Its golden leaves were backlit brilliantly in the afternoon sun and the color and sunlight reflect magnificently on the surface of the water in this fine art river photography print.
 
Taken during the fall salmon run, there is a chance those mighty fish are swimming just under the surface in this river photograph, on their way to their spawning grounds. For fly fishermen and tree lovers alike this river photography art piece is a special symbol of the wonders nature holds.
